Follow these care instructions to keep your painting in its best shape.
Avoid direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to the sun can fade/damage the acrylics. Avoid displaying near windows. You can also consider rotating your paintings so that no one painting receives uneven light for a prolonged period. Acrylic paintings don’t need glass, and have been sealed with a varnish.
Keep your painting clean. If you must clean your painting, use a soft towel to wipe dust off. A slightly dampened (with water) can help if especially dirty but do not scrub! Avoid using chemical cleaners.
Control the environment. Avoid areas of extreme temperature and humidity changes. Excessive high or low temps, as well as high humidity, can damage the painting. Store your paintings in a clean, dry, dust-free, moderate temperature area.
Framing your painting. While acrylics don’t need to be framed in glass, UV-filtered glass can help prolong the life of your painting. Make sure the frame is deep enough so the glass does not touch the surface of the painting. If you are interested in framing your painting, frames are available on Amazon. Or make a stop at your local framing shop or craft/hobby store for more assistance in choosing the right frame, and/or glass.
Blacklight paintings can be lit using blacklights. Blacklights are available in a multitude of styles. Check out some of Amazon's options.
